Last week I wrote that I was working on finishing some items. Well, the other night I finished the binding on Kiara’s signature quilt. This poor quilt has been waiting for about 4 years to be completed. The main reason it wasn’t finished was because I *KNEW* I was going to have to miter the corners for the last border and that is one of the few things I loathe about quilting. It was surprisingly easy, so maybe I need to rethink that loathing! 🙂
Next on the longarm is Honor Quilts for guild. Someone else makes the tops, the committee matches it with batting and backing and there’s a group of us that volunteer to do the quilting. This time since there’s so much star fabric I decided to do some free motion stars in the first one, turned out well I thought. The binding on this first one was finished last night and the next one goes on the frame today. Should be able to get it quilted today and ready for handwork tonight. Back soon with more finishes!
